Be the first to put one on the table
Name the one thing stopping your business right now. Other local owners answer, you record what you tried, and the whole thread stays for the next owner who hits it.
Post your bottleneckRunning a business here
What is a bottleneck post?
The one thing currently stopping your business from moving, written plainly and posted where other local owners can see it. Not a pitch and not an ad. The value is in being specific: "I cannot get repeat customers back through the door" gets a real answer, where "looking for growth advice" does not.
Why post it here instead of asking in a group chat?
Because the answers stay. A bottleneck keeps its own page with everything people suggested, what you tried and what actually happened, so the next owner with the same problem reads the whole thing a year later. Group chats lose that within a day. The people answering also run businesses in the same county, under the same rents, seasons and customers.
What happens when a bottleneck is resolved?
You mark it resolved and say what worked. It moves into your history as something you got past, and the record stays public for whoever hits it next. Then you name the next one — the useful part is the sequence, not any single problem.
What are the lessons?
Short, written chapters on the problems that come up for nearly every local owner: pricing, getting found, repeat customers, hiring, cash flow. They are there to read when a bottleneck needs background, rather than a course to work through in order.
Who can post?
Any owner of a business in Rockland County, at any stage. A one-person operation working out of a kitchen counts the same as a shop with staff.
