Claymation, or clay animation, is a type of stop-motion animation that uses frame-by-frame images to capture the motion of clay figures. In this exciting mixed media studio workshop, children will write the story, create and construct characters, design sets and photograph scenes. Components covered in workshops and courses include writing the story, creating characters, fashioning dialogue, designing sets, creating lighting and sound effects, and photographing the scenes. Kids Improv Workshop August 17–21 | 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM Rhino Comedy’s Kids Improv Workshop is a week-long program led by experienced educators and professional improvisers. Through play-based activities, kids will learn the fundamentals of improv comedy while building skills in listening, collaboration, and storytelling. Whether your child is brand new to the stage or already loves to perform, this workshop meets them where they are and gives them space to shine. The workshop provides a supportive, low-pressure environment where students can explore their creativity, gain confidence, and express themselves. Improv naturally encourages empathy, confidence, and resilience, helping kids feel more comfortable expressing themselves and connecting with others. With a focus on imagination and interaction—without screens—participants will engage in age-appropriate exercises designed to encourage teamwork, quick thinking, listening, and adaptability, all while having genuine fun. The day includes a snack break and the week concludes with a casual Sunday afternoon performance for family and friends, giving students a chance to share what they’ve learned.
