About The '76 House
Billed as America's oldest tavern, the '76 House in Tappan has been serving since the 1600s and once held British spy Major John Andre during the Revolution. Today it's a warm, history-soaked American restaurant with working fireplaces, live jazz, and a menu of classics across lunch, dinner, and weekend brunch. A destination for special occasions and out-of-town guests as much as a neighborhood favorite.
