Don’t miss the “Congers Fall Festival. ” Sunday, September 27th. 11AM – 5PM.  The fair features hundreds of local craft vendors, diverse food trucks, a beer garden, and live music. Geoff will host movies, pausing along the way to appreciate and discuss the audacity of cinema when it fires on all cylinders (engaging story-world, irony, metaphor, ideas and craft). David Lynch’s Blue Velvet (1986) rated R – 2hr College student Jeffrey Beaumont (Kyle MacLachlan) returns home after his father has a stroke. When he discovers a severed ear in an abandoned field, Beaumont teams up with detective’s daughter Sandy Williams (Laura Dern) to solve the mystery.
