Join the Historical Society of the Nyacks in commemorating the 25th anniversary of September 11th with a self-guided tour exploring the Nyack places and people connected to extraordinary lives of service, courage, and community. DISCOVER THE STORIES OF Welles Crowther Harry Wanamaker Jr. Stacey Sennas McGowan Joseph Stach Jr. Jon Albert Ross Dailey At the start of the tour, visitors will receive a commemorative map and red bandanna before exploring six meaningful locations throughout Nyack. At each stop, volunteers, firefighters, and local historians will share personal stories and memories that illuminate their extraordinary lives. The event begins with sign-in at the Historical Society of the Nyacks Museum at the Depew House, 50 Piermont Avenue, Nyack. The tour is self-guided and is primarily accessible by car. Attendees are encouraged to explore the six locations in the order in which they appear on the map provided. Please spend as much time as you wish at each stop. The tour runs from 12:00–3:00 PM. Sign-in begins at 11:45am and ends at 1:00pm. Public parking is available at each location; attendees are asked to park only in legal parking spaces. The event is free, but space is limited. Registration is required and closes Saturday, September 26th at 6:00 PM.
Come share your song (works in progress welcome), add some harmony, jam a little, or just listen. Rather than an open mic, this is an informal, supportive community to share original tunes. Acoustic set ups preferred. Led by Angel Artist Partner Rob McMahon, a singer-songwriter, educator, and healing arts facilitator.
