The Old Erie Path is a 3-mile cinder-and-gravel rail-bed trail that follows the route of the old Erie Railroad Northern Branch through Piermont and Grand View-on-Hudson. The trail offers a shaded canopy, glimpses of the Hudson River, and an easy grade suitable for a variety of users. Biking and dogs are welcome, and access is free year-round with parking available. The path connects south to the Joseph B. Clarke Rail Trail in Tappan/Sparkill and north to the Raymond G. Esposito Memorial Trail in South Nyack, making possible 8 or more miles of continuous off-road travel end to end.
