Sprawling 47,000-acre park with 31 lakes and reservoirs, 200+ miles of hiking trails, beaches at Lake Welch and Lake Tiorati, and campgrounds. The Appalachian Trail was first opened here in 1923. Plenty of trailheads accessible from Rockland's western edge.
