Join the Historical Society of the Nyacks in commemorating the 25th anniversary of September 11th with a self-guided tour exploring the Nyack places and people connected to extraordinary lives of service, courage, and community. DISCOVER THE STORIES OF Welles Crowther Harry Wanamaker Jr. Stacey Sennas McGowan  Joseph Stach Jr. Jon Albert Ross Dailey At the start of the tour, visitors will receive a commemorative map and red bandanna before exploring six meaningful locations throughout Nyack. At each stop, volunteers, firefighters, and local historians will share personal stories and memories that illuminate their extraordinary lives. The event begins with sign-in at the Historical Society of the Nyacks Museum at the Depew House, 50 Piermont Avenue, Nyack.  The tour is self-guided and is primarily accessible by car. Attendees are encouraged to explore the six locations in the order in which they appear on the map provided. Please spend as much time as you wish at each stop. The tour runs from 12:00–3:00 PM. Sign-in begins at 11:45am and ends at 1:00pm. Public parking is available at each location; attendees are asked to park only in legal parking spaces. The event is free, but space is limited. Registration is required and closes Saturday, September 26th at 6:00 PM.

This spellbinding play, written by Jessica Blank and Erik Jensen, tells the true stories of six wrongfully convicted survivors of death row. Culled from interviews, letters, transcripts, case files and the public record, The Exonerated moves between first-person monologues and scenes in courtroom and prison settings. Six interwoven stories: One deeply flawed and compromised American criminal justice system. Directed by ArtsRock’s own Elliott Forrest, the performance will feature Tony winner Danny Burstein, Adam Goldberg, Frankie Faison, Isabel Arraiza, S.Tyrone Williams, James Udon, Andrew Greenway, Candace Lynn Matthews, Meg Sewell, and Danny Charest.

You’ll leave with a new piece of writing, a clearer sense of what you’re ready to release and begin, and a practiced way of meeting what’s forming in the dark.
