Stravinsky Soldier’s Tale — BridgeMusik Summer Festival 2026
BridgeMusik opens its 2026 Summer Festival — We the Music: Celebrating 250 Years of American Voices — with a fully staged production of Stravinsky's The Soldier's Tale, paired with the world premiere of Dedication to Faust by Thomas Cabaniss. The production blends music, theater, and dance, telling the story of a soldier who trades his violin to the Devil, exploring themes of temptation, fate, and ambition. Directed by Malena Dayen and conducted by David Rosenmeyer, the cast includes Danny Bryck, Alok Tewari, Mary Neufeld, and JoVonna Parks, performing with the BridgeMusik Festival Ensemble. Performances take place at Nyack Center in Nyack, NY on Saturday, August 1, 2026 at 7:30 PM and Sunday, August 2, 2026 at 3:00 PM. Seating is limited, so reserving early is encouraged; ticket purchases also help support BridgeMusik's free community concerts and educational programs.
