A small museum behind the Orangeburg Library in a recreated barracks building, commemorating Camp Shanks -- the largest US Army point of embarkation during WWII, including the landing forces for D-Day. Volunteer-staffed weekends in season, with displays of uniforms, equipment, photographs, and artifacts from the 1942-46 operation.
