 merica’s International Commission for a screening of the documentary “The 
 Forgotten Occupation”. We will be joined by the director of the documentar
 y\, Alain Martin\, for a Q&A and discussion segment at the end of the scre
 ening! The documentary revisits the U.S. occupation of Haiti through a let
 ter to Alain’s grandfather and unravels the paradox of a man who longed fo
 r American rule and a nation scarred by it. Blending intimate memory with 
 sweeping history\, the film confronts exile\, love\, and the uneasy truths
  at the heart of freedom.\nProceeds from ticket sales will go directly to 
 an organization supporting our local Haitian immigrant communities\, which
  has recently come under increased threat with the Supreme Court’s ruling 
 on Temporary Protected Status (TPS). The price of admission for the event 
 is a *suggested donation* amount of $15. As long as there is space at the
